Milk Ras 1998

In May 1998 Toyota and Gardner Merchant sponsored a Manchester - National Clarion Team of 5 riders to ride this gruelling 9 day 850 mile International Road Race.
Three of the team and all the teams officials were from Stockport Clarion.
These 3 SCCC Riders were (back row, 3rd to 5th from left) Julian Mortel, Duncan Hewitt, and William Sanderson.
All finished admirably, against top European amateurs, in a race averaging over 25 mph for the weeks mountainous efforts.
